Lake Seminole Fishing Report – November 2006

GON Staff | October 24, 2006

Seminole: Level: 0.9 feet below full pool. Temp: Mid to upper 70s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Good. Butch Tucker said some guys were starting to catch some fish on frogs fished on lily pads and grass. Try the grass in front of Wingate’s and Sealey’s. At daylight fish grass lines with buzzbaits, Pop-Rs and Tiny Torpedos. Then switch to Texas rigs and Senkos. Butch likes watermelon, watermelon gold and green pumpkin for Senkos, and he’ll dead-stick it around grass edges. Bass will move shallower this month; however, with all the deep grass in Seminole the fish don’t get super shallow like they have in the past. Butch runs grass lines with a No. 7 or No. 9 Shad Rap. “The fish will be active in the grass,” said Butch. Jack Wingate reports two 9-pounders caught last week, one on topwater and the other on a spinnerbait.

Crappie: Fair. Jack said a few good catches on minnows and jigs are starting to show up.
