Lake Seminole Fishing Report January 2019
GON Staff | December 23, 2018
Seminole: Level: 2.2 feet above full. Temp: 56 degrees. Clarity: Muddy with fast current.
Bass: Tournament angler Matt Baty reports, “All areas around Lake Seminole have received several inches of rain through the month of December. This has the fish a little tougher to catch than normal. However, when you find a school of fish, you can catch good numbers out of that school. Look for grass points in Spring Creek and current breaks on the lake. The fish will be in tight schools, so it may take several repeated casts to the same areas to trigger a strike. A Jenko CD20 in chartreuse and blue has been working great, along with a 1/2-oz. Buddha Bait Co. Swagger Jig in black/blue with a 4-inch hematoma Cane Thumper from Big Bite Baits. Look for this same pattern to continue, as there is more water on the way and more rain in the forecast.”
