Lake Seminole Fishing Report – February 2024

GON Staff | January 31, 2024

Seminole: Level: Full at 77.5. Temp: 53 degrees. Clarity: The Flint River arm is muddy, the Chattahoochee River arm has a heavy stain and Spring Creek is stained.

Bass: Guide Paul Tyre reports, “The bass fishing on Lake Seminole has been very productive this winter! We have been catching bass on a variety of lures from spinnerbaits and vibrating jigs to jerkbaits. A double willowleaf Strike King Premier Plus 1/2-oz. in chartreuse and white has produced very well. This bait works well at fast speeds to generate a reaction strike. The new Strike King Thunder Cricket has been very productive this winter, and I expect it to continue to produce all the way into spring. This bait has incredible action to it and a built-in trailer keeper that works. Jerkbaits have worked well this winter, also. The 6th Sense Provoke jerkbait in the 200 series in any shad color has worked well. As we enter into February, the bass will be in full prespawn mode. It is one of the best months of the year to catch the biggest bass Lake Seminole has to offer. Bass will be schooling up by size.”
