Lake Seminole Fishing Report – Feb. 13, 2024

Capt. Paul Tyre | February 16, 2024

Here’s a happy client fishing with Capt. Paul Tyre. Expect fantastic bass fishing on Seminole in the coming weeks.

The average water temperature is 60 degrees, the Flint River arm has a heavy stain, and the Chattahooche River arm is muddy.

The bass fishing on Lake Seminole has been very productive through the month of February. As we move into March, it’s one of my favorite months to catch some of the biggest bass that Lake Seminole has to offer! A variety of lures have been and will continue to produce throughout March. A swim jig, like the 6th Sense Divine in 5/16-oz. in the black/blue color is one of my favorites. One feature that makes the 6th Sense Divine swim jig unique is the keeper that locks on your plastic trailer and allows you to pull the jig through the heaviest of cover with higher-strength rods and braided line. Crankbaits are great for covering water, especially a lipless crankbait like a 6th Sense 70 in any shad color. Fish it over over the submerged grass that is so prevalent on Lake Seminole.

The crappie fishing on Lake Seminole has also been excellent.  Through March, the crappie will be in their spawning areas, and it can be some of the best crappie fishing of the year. We have had great success using a 6th Sense Clobber Minnow in any shad color rigged on a 1/16-oz. crappie jig head.
