Lake Seminole Fishing Report – August 2018

GON Staff | August 1, 2018

Seminole: Level: 0.4 feet low. Temp: High 80s to low 90s. Clarity: Slight stain.

Misc Species: Guide Aaron Crews reports, “You will find cooler water near springs. The grass is topped out. Mayfly hatches are occurring, so flyrod fishermen should do great. Liz at Trails End reports good catches of shellcrackers, bream, bluegill, catfish and redbreasts. Some really nice bass are being caught right now on black Whopper Ploppers, Jitter Bugs and a silver shiner Devil’s Horse. On the ledges, green-pumpkin Ol’ Monster worms and green-pumpkin football jigs are working. The grass is in great shape for buzzbaits, Horny Toads, frogs and grass rats. Crappie are in 18 to 25 feet of water and being caught on minnows.”
