Lake Seminole Fishing Report – April 2025

GON Staff | March 27, 2025

Seminole: Level: 0.2 feet below 77.5. Temp: 61-64 degrees. Clarity: Spring Creek is clear and the Chattahoochee River has a slight stain. The Flint River is stained.

Bass: Capt. Paul Tyre reports, “The bass fishing on Lake Seminole has been excellent. Senkos and lipless crankbaits have been very productive. If planning a trip to Lake Seminole in April, there are three baits you will need to have tied on. A hollow-belly frog is one of my favorites. I use a Spro popping frog fished around and over the top of vegetation. I like using a 7-3, heavy-action rod with a high-speed reel filled with at least 50-lb. Cortland Master Braid to get the big bass out of the heavy cover. A swim jig is a very productive lure in April on Seminole. My choice of a swim jig is the 6th Sense Braid swim jig. It is made with a stout hook that won’t flex and gets the big bass out off the grass. A soft plastic straight-tail worm is a very productive bait in April on Lake Seminole.  My favorite is a Yum Dinger Texas rigged and fished around the grasslines. The shellcracker will be bedding in and around the flats and is a great way to introduce kids to fishing, and it’s fun for the whole family.
