Lake Seminole Fishing Report – April 2019

GON Staff | March 25, 2019

Seminole: Level: Full. Temp: Mid to upper 60s. Clarity: Slightly stained water on the rivers and clear water on Fish Pond Drain and Spring Creek.

Bass: Guide Aaron Crews reports, “You have postspawn bass, spawning bass and prespawn bass. Depending on which section of the lake you happen to be fishing, the ChatterBait (green pumpkin-blue) bite has slowed a little. The spinnerbait (white) bite gets better each day. This means the buzzbait will be improving. Topwater is good. Baits like a Splash-it (clown), A.C. Shiner and a Rebel Rouge (gold black back) should do fairly well. On bedding fish, I use tube baits in watermelon red flake, Speed Worms in junebug, lizards in green pumpkin, a shad-patterned A.C. Shiner and a black-and-blue swimming jig.”

Misc: Guide Aaron Crews reports, “The crappie are in 10 to 15 feet of water on jigs that are minnow tipped. Catfish are on cut bait.”
