Lake Oconee Fishing Report – May 2025

GON Staff | April 30, 2025

Oconee: Level: 0.1 feet below 435. Temp: 72-74 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Guide Nick Knapp, with Elite Guide Service, reports, “May is a great month for largemouth fishing on Oconee. The beginning of the month I like to fish rocks and docks in Lick Creek with a 1/2-oz. white spinnerbait. This can produce big bites first thing in the morning. As the month goes on, I like to target areas where the mayflies are hatching with a Pop-R. As the days go on, I really like flipping a 1/2-oz. green-pumpkin jig around docks and deeper seawalls.”
