Lake Nottely Fishing Report – February 2019

GON Staff | January 25, 2019

Nottely: Level: 10.8 feet low. Temp: 46 degrees. Clarity: Upper lake and mid-range creeks are stained.

Linesides: Guide Jeremy Seabolt reports, “Fishing has been good. We have one of the best downline bites going on that I have seen for this time year. We been catching them over a 60-foot bottom on the creek channels. We have also been doing good on planer boards and freelines first thing in morning and late afternoon. Find the bait, and the fish will be not far behind. Going into February, I will be looking for a bait die-off if we get all the cold they’re calling for. If we get a die-off, it be time start throwing a small spoon or work a 4-inch Redfin slowly. February is also a good month to start working a bucktail jig on the points where the sun is hitting. Be safe out there, the water is getting cold, but spring is just around the corner.”
