Lake Hartwell Fishing Report – September 2022

GON Staff | August 25, 2022

Hartwell: Level: 3.7 feet below 660. Temp: 85-90 degrees. Clarity: More clear than normal.

Bass: Guide Matthew Justice, “Fishing has been slow as it usually is this time of year, but it can turn on very quickly as fronts move through. On recent trips, Carolina rigs with finesse worms fished in rocks has been key to getting consistent bites. Topwater fishing on points has slowed, but a shallow topwater bite is still consistent. Fishing buzzbaits around shallow wood can also produce a big bite.”
