Lake Hartwell Fishing Report June 2017

GON Staff | June 1, 2017

Hartwell: Level: 6.7 feet below full pool. Temp: Mid to upper 70s. Clarity: Mostly clear on the main lake and stained in the creeks.

Bass: Tournament angler Kerry Partain reports, “The fishing has been hit and miss the last few weeks with the recent rains. The majority of the fish are on the points, humps and shoals and are biting topwater and Zoom Super Flukes, especially in the mornings and later in the afternoons. There has been some schooling activity, and this should continue in June, so move around until you locate active fish. Once the schooling fish slow down, we have been catching fish around brush on points and humps using a drop shot rigged with a Zoom Z-Drop or a finesse worm.”
