Lake Hartwell Fishing Report December 2011

GON Staff | November 23, 2011

Hartwell: Level: 9.8 feet low. Temp: 60-62 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Fair. Kerry Partain said, “The fishing is starting to pick back up as more schooling activity can be found in the creek mouths and major ditches. The Zoom Super Fluke is working well while bait is pushed up. The Pulse Jig works good in the middle of the ditches. Work the backs of the creeks and ditches with a shallow-running crankbait in the shad color early in the mornings before the bait moves out. Some nice fish can also be caught this month on the drop shot in 15 to 25 feet of water using a Zoom G-Tail Ringer. Good electronics will be the key as the bait begins to set up for the winter, and the bass will follow.”
