Lake Eufaula Fishing Report November 2013

GON Staff | October 30, 2013

Eufaula: Level: 2.2 feet above full pool. Temp: 70 degrees. Clarity: Clear to slightly stained.

Bass: There’s a good topwater bite early in the shallow flooded cover. The midday bite is better on the ledges. Guide Sam Williams reports, “Cooler weather and cloud cover have made for some fantastic fishing conditions. When the sun comes up, the shad begin to work. This sets up a good topwater bite. Working the cover and edges with small worms and creature baits is a good pattern. Moving to deeper water and working the humps and ledges with heavy Texas rigs or jigs is also producing some better-sized bass.”

Crappie: “Trolling the tops of ledges is doing the trick. Moving faster seems to be what they are looking for,” said Sam.

Catfish: “Good with jugs in the creeks. Bottom fishing with worms or cut bait on the creek drops will work if you want a good mess for the table,” Sam said.
