Lake Eufaula Fishing Report June 2011

GON Staff | May 26, 2011

Eufaula: Level: 0.1 feet below full pool. Temp: Low 80s. Clarity: Light stain.

Bass:
Fair. Sam Williams said the bass have been off their game. “Tournaments usually needing 20-plus pound bags this time of year are paying first place with less than 10 pounds,” Sam said. “The pads are not completely formed out. We should be fishing pad fields that are acres in size. Bass need extremely slow presentations of soft plastics and topwater baits.”

Crappie:
Good. “They’re still biting jigs on the top of drops and at night under lights. Jigs are the trick,” Sam said.

Catfish: Good. “Slower than usual, but warmer weather will change that for the better,” Sam said.
