Lake Eufaula Fishing Report – January 2019

GON Staff | December 23, 2018

Eufaula:  Level: 1.8 feet below 190 full pool. Temp: 52-54 degrees. Clarity: Stained.

Bass: Guide Sam Williams reports, “The cold fronts, storms and changing barometric pressures are keeping the fish confused. The shallow bass are hitting ChatterBaits along shore cover. Buzzbaits and other noisy lures are a good choice. For deeper fish on the ledges, try heavy spoons. Large red and bright-colored plastics are also working well when fished really slow. The doctors are doing Niemann-pick disease research to save these terminal kids and our soldiers through DWS. Sign up for our 2019 tournament.”

Crappie: Guide Sam Williams reports, “The Eufaula crappie are on deep cover in 10 to 18 feet. Jigs tipped with minnows will get a bite.”
