Lake Eufaula Fishing Report January 2011

GON Staff | January 3, 2011

Eufaula: Level: Full pool. Temp: Low 50s. Clarity: Varies from light to heavy stain.

Bass: Slow. Capt. Sam Williams reports, “Bass fishing has slowed some as the water temperatures continue to drop. Very slow presentations are producing some bass. Cover where pads were and grassy banks are holding baitfish.”

Crappie: Good. Sam reports, “Crappie are getting hotter every day. Trolling with jigs tipped with minnows is producing some good-sized fish. The night fishermen are doing well under the causeways and bridges.”

Linesides:
Sam said crappie fishermen trolling jigs faster than the crappie like are catching hybrids. “These fish are really fun on light tackle,” he said.
