Lake Blue Ridge Fishing Report September 2012

GON Staff | August 29, 2012

Blue Ridge: Level: 14.8 feet below full pool. Temp: degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Good. Eric Welch, of Reel Job Fishing guide service, reports, “We’ve been catching fish on the lower end of the lake drop-shotting 4 1/2-inch Roboworms on points and drops in 12 to 28 feet of water. With the water temps dropping due to the cooler weather and rain that we’ve been having, there should be some topwater action starting this month. I would throw a Zoom Fluke and a Sebile swimbait around long points and back of pockets. Also No. 5 Shad Raps and small crankbaits on rocky banks and spring spawning flats.”
