Lake Blue Ridge Fishing Report May 2015

GON Staff | April 30, 2015

Blue Ridge: Level: Full. Temp: 64-66 degrees. Clarity: Main lake clear, river lightly stained.

Bass: Guide Eric Welch reports, “We’ve had a lot of rain the past two weeks. Water temps have gone up and down, and water level has gone straight up. We’re catching some fish that have spawned out and also finding some in pockets looking to spawn. There has been a little topwater bite first thing in the morning. We’re catching some fish on Texas-rigged worms and drop shots. You can work a Zoom Fluke and a Trick Worm around docks, lays downs and bank lines and catch postspawn fish. Look for the deep summer bite to start this month.”
