Lake Blue Ridge Fishing Report May 2013

GON Staff | May 1, 2013

Blue Ridge: Level: 1.7 feet above full pool. Temp: 64-66 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Guide Eric Welch reports, “Some of the fish are starting to spawn. We’re catching spots and smallmouth on spawning flats and off rocky points fishing with tubes, jerkbaits and a Strike King 3X crawfish-pattern crankbaits. Largemouth have moved back in the shallow pockets. You can still catch some fish on deep banks on drop shots. As the spawn ends this month, the fish will move back around brush, docks and deep points. Then you can start catching them on flukes, Trick Worms and shaky heads.”
