Lake Blue Ridge Fishing Report – May 2006

GON Staff | May 1, 2006

Blue Ridge: Level: 12.7 feet below full pool. Temp: 70 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Blue Ridge guide Nathan Lewis said he was catching fish a number of ways on Blue Ridge on April 24. “I caught a 2 1/2-lb. smallmouth on a Pop-R just after daylight,” he said. “We have caught some on Shad Raps, and we have had them hitting flukes. The small fish are up and active, but we haven’t found the big fish yet. I’ve seen some largemouths on the bed and some smaller bass just cruising in the backs of the pockets. Most of our fish have come off banks, rather than points or the backs of pockets.”
