Lake Blue Ridge Fishing Report – January 2019

GON Staff | December 23, 2018

Blue Ridge: Level: 14.5 feet low. Temp: 54 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Guide Eric Welch reports, “Heads up—the Forest Service is working on Lakewood boat ramp and closed it as of Dec. 3 and will not open it back up until February. Blue Ridge Marina is the only ramp that you can access at this time. It’s a very steep ramp with the water down, and there is a $10 launch fee. This time of year, I’m jigging a Flex-it spoon and sometimes fishing a drop shot. My main bait is the Float-n-Fly.”
