Lake Blue Ridge Fishing Report – December 2018

GON Staff | November 28, 2018

Blue Ridge: Level: 13.5 feet below full. Temp: 55-56 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Guide Eric Welch reports, “Fishing got a little tough with all the rain and weather changing. The water temps have been dropping with the colder nights, and there’s not been much topwater going on, and most of the bait you mark on your electronics are in the 12- to 30-foot range. I’ve been throwing the A-rig around docks that have brush and areas that have rocky, spawning flats that will warm up quicker in the day. I’ve also been catching fish around brush and rock throwing the Z-man TRD on a Ned rig. The fish you mark out deeper can be caught on a drop-shot rig with a 4.5-inch Roboworm, along with a Flex-It spoon. I’m also throwing a 3.5-inch tube around points and rocky banks. The Float-n-Fly should start working this month with the water temps dropping. Good luck.”
