Lake Blue Ridge Fishing Report August 2011

GON Staff | July 28, 2011

Blue Ridge: Level: 8.0 feet below full pool. Temp: 81 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Good. Eric Welch, of Reel Job Fishing, reports, “We are catching a lot of fish drop-shotting a 4 1/2-inch Roboworm in new ayu on deep docks and bank lines. We are also catching fish on a Bass Pro 3 1/2-inch Tender Tube in green pumpkin on rocky points. If it’s a windy day, try a Strike King spinnerbait and a 5XD crankbait. There is starting to be some topwater early in the morning and late in the afternoon, so try a Sammy 100 and also a Zoom Super Fluke. TVA has completed the penstock repair and has started back to their regular generating from the bottom of the dam. This should help the water flow and put the fish back to their normal habitat.”
