Clarks Hill Lake Fishing Report – November 2021

GON Staff | October 28, 2021

Clarks Hill: Level: Full pool. Temp: Low 70s. Clarity: Stained.

Linesides: Guide Bradd Sasser reports, ‘The hybrids and stripers have moved away from the lower end of the lake and are beginning to migrate either up lake or out the Georgia Little River branch. As temperatures drop, they will push farther in those directions. We have seen some schooling activity around mid morning for the past couple weeks. With the fish migrating right now, we are finding most of the larger groups in the main channel or main ditches feeding into creeks. This being a transition time of year, we have found some groups suspended 10 to 20 feet deep in the channels and some 30 to 50 feet deep. Electronics are especially useful to finding schools of bait with the fish being very nearby. Once the weather cools off, they will begin to move on into the creeks.”

Capt. Eddie Mason reports, “With the temperatures going down, they’ve shut off the oxygen lines that run out of Modoc, but I’m still spending my time down here on the lower end of the lake between Hamilton Branch and the dam. I’m catching fish on long, running points in about 35 feet of water. I’m using downrods and live bait, and it’s still working good. Due to recent bad weather, there’s a lot of debris in the water.”
