Clarks Hill Lake Fishing Report – August 2019

GON Staff | July 26, 2019

Clarks Hill: Level: 0.5 feet low. Temp: 89 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Linesides: Guide Eddie Mason reports, “They now have two oxygen lines running that is putting oxygen in the water,  so the fish are between the lines and the dam more and more every day. The daylight bite is getting better and better, and the fish are ganging up more. Midday spoon bites are just getting good. We’re starting out in about 30 feet of water in the morning, and later in the morning we’re going to about 40 feet to stay on them. Since we’re using downrods and live bait, you need to get into deeper water as the surface temperature goes up. Because of the heat, we’re trying to get off the water as early as possible.”
