Clarks Hill Fishing Reports – June 2021

GON Staff | May 27, 2021

Clarks Hill: Level: Full pool. Temp: Low 80s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Josh Rockefeller reports, “Fish are still schooling on the herring spawn, but that is beginning to fizz out on account of hotter water temps. There are fish beginning to move deep, but there are also some shallow fish staging around bream beds. Throwing topwater baits such as short prop baits and buzzbaits in bream colors are good choices. The fish moving to the humps and long, deep points can be caught on Carolina rigs or jigs with a mix of deep-diving crankbaits if there is good structure to deflect the crankbait off of. I like the 6XD or 8XD in the herring color.”
