Clarks Hill Fishing Report – July 2022

GON Staff | June 30, 2022

Clarks Hill: Level: Full pool at 330. Temp: 85 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Trad Whaley reports, “Summer is upon us with hot weather not letting up. This time of year they are getting deep again setting up above the thermocline. There are some shallow fish to be caught early and late on topwater around main-lake structure. As the sun beams down, the brushpiles in 15 to 25 feet get the call. In the clear water, try topwater or a fluke over the top of them. If that’s not a go, slow down with a big worm and a drop shot, fished slow in the piles. Main lake and current is the key. Good luck, and remember confidence is key.”
