Bartletts Ferry Fishing Reports – February 2021

GON Staff | January 29, 2021

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.8 feet below full. Temp: Low 50s. Clarity: Moderate stain in the creeks and up the river.

Bass: Even with the cold temps, the bass have been shallow, especially after a warm day or two or nights that don’t get as cold. Look for shallow bass on docks, up close against rock, or in shallow brush. Try shallow-running crankbaits. Squarebills work well. A Senko or other floating worm rigged wacky style can be effective on shallow bass. Work it slow and out of sight this time of year, so watch your line for a bite. As the temperatures warm in February, the bass will stage in spawning coves, and docks are a key structure. The Senko bite will improve, especially skipped under docks.
