Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – September 2024

GON Staff | August 28, 2024

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.9 feet below 521. Temp: Upper 80s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Tyler Morgan, with Summerland Outdoors, is hoping to see an early fall to make the bass transition faster. In the mornings, fish fast with a buzzbait or Spook covering water and watching for bait balls up the river. Fish the grass and long, tapering points, working the buzzbait in the grass and the Spook on the points. After the sun gets on the water, slow down and flip a Texas-rigged Baby Brush Hog or a Missile Baits D Bomb into wood cover. Find current and fish the breaks for the best action. A wacky-rigged Senko skipped under shallow bushes on the bank up the river will draw bites. The banks are often undercut, offering good cover even in a few inches of water. The third week of August, Tyler had 15 pounds flipping wood up the river during a three-hour evening tournament. That bite will hold up through September.
