Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report September 2016

GON Staff | August 30, 2016

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 1.1 feet below full pool. Temp: 87 degrees. Clarity: Light stain.

Bass: Tournament director Dennis Hudson reports, “The bass fishing has been pretty spotty. That won’t change much early in September, but we’ll eventually start seeing some schooling activity. The topwater bite will get pretty good early. We hope we’ll get some good mayfly hatches because we really haven’t had good ones so far this year. If we get that, Pop-Rs will be good, and the frog bite around grass will be good. Otherwise during the day, you’ll have to just go with shaky heads in the brushpiles and go with that as long as it lasts. The bass fishing has been pretty tough here lately. It has been taking only about 10 pounds to win weekend tournaments here.”
