Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report September 2015

GON Staff | August 26, 2015

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.1 feet below full pool. Temp: High 80s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: “Fishing is really slow right now,” said tournament director and angler Dennis Hudson. “A few bass are being caught upriver in the afternoons when they are running water using hollow-body frogs fished in the bank undercuts and the eddies. A few anglers are catching some nice bass like that. We’re still having some occasional mayfly hatches, and some fishermen are catching some small bass on the mud banks in the mid-river area using Trick Worms. We need some cooler temperatures and cooler water to get people out fishing and to get the bass biting. It should start cooling off some this month, and then the fish will start getting shallow along the seawalls in the mornings and under the docks during the days.”
