Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – September 2008

GON Staff | August 26, 2008

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.9 feet below full pool. Temp: Mid 80s. Clarity: Clear, but expect some stain hitting the lake after Fay rains.

Bass: Fair. For a full feature on Dennis Hudson’s Bartletts Ferry September tactics, see page 66. The hottest pattern on the lake is a schooling bite where the shad get bunched up around the bridges, particularly at Long Bridge in Halawaka. “If there’s any water moving or wind blowing, they’re schooling all over the place, largemouths and spots,” Dennis said. Throw a shaky-head finesse worm in watermelon or a small Zara Pup.
