Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – October 2024

GON Staff | September 25, 2024

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.8 feet below 521. Temp: Low 70s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Tyler Morgan, with Summerland Outdoors, reports that shad will really be pushing back into the creeks in October. “I start to spend more time in Halawakee Creek,” Tyler said. “First thing in the morning, I will cast a buzzbait into grassbeds and fish a Spook on seawalls. As the sun gets higher, I swap over to a clear-water color JackHammer bladed jig and skip it under shallow boat docks. The last part of the day, I focus on shallow docks in pockets just off the main creek and fish with a 3.8-oz. Untamed Tackle Ace Jig in browns. I’ll add a Zoom Z Craw trailer on it in matching colors.”
