Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – October 2017

GON Staff | September 28, 2017

Bartletts Ferry:  Level: 0.2 feet below full pool. Temp: 76 degrees. Clarity: Creeks have some color; river is clear.

Bass: Tournament director Dennis Hudson reports, “In October, you can pretty much fish topwater all day. Most people will fish buzzbaits, but I like a Whopper Plopper topwater plug. A lot of people fish walking baits, too. The crankbait bite picks up in October. A yellow, small square-bill crankbait works great in the creeks, especially if the water has a little color. There are always still some bass around the boat docks on the main river, and a quite few anglers will be pitching jigs on them.”
