Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report October 2014

GON Staff | October 1, 2014

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.6 feet below full pool. Temp: Falling into the 70s. Clarity: Lightly stained.

Bass: “Bass fishing is terrible,” reports tournament director and angler Dennis Hudson. “We had a tournament won here the other night with two fish weighing 4 pounds. There were only four fish caught in the tournament. They have sprayed the hydrilla here, and I believe that’s a big part of it. Our water temperature here is also still really high. If we get some cooler weather, things should start getting a lot better. Everybody here will start catching some fish on crankbaits fished along the rocky bluffs and the points. That will change a little with the jig bite coming on good as the water temperature drops 8- to 10-degrees in the next few weeks.”
