Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report October 2013

GON Staff | September 25, 2013

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 1.4 feet below full pool. Temp: Mid 80s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament director Dennis Hudson says bass fishing has been pretty tough except for the early topwater bite. “Most of the bass are being caught right after daylight on hollow frogs,” he said. “They are biting on topwater on up in the mornings for a little while anywhere a tree is putting a little shade on the water. Once the sun gets up good, nobody is catching anything.”

Bream: “Bream fishing was really good when we had a mayfly hatch the other day, but it has slowed a lot since then,” Dennis said. “You can still catch some bream just drifting down the bank throwing a Beetle Spin in shady areas. The bream are right on the bank. You just have to catch a bunch of small ones before you catch a good one.”
