Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – October 2006

GON Staff | September 25, 2006

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 1.1 feet low. Temp: 80 degrees. Clarity: Clear, but the backs of creeks are stained.

Bass: Slow. David Lowry said the fishing has been a little better up the lake in the Blanton Creek area where folks are pitching jigs to deep brush and eddies. Buzzbaits have been catching a few. Once the water hits the mid 70s, look for bait and bass to move in the backs of the creeks, and they’ll really get on wood cover. Buzzbaits and Spooks early, followed by spinnerbaits and jigs, is a great way to spend the day catching Bartletts bass. Key on docks, blowdowns and stumps. Expect this bite all over the lake, but David prefers from Halawakee Creek north.
