Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report May 2018

GON Staff | April 27, 2018

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.7 feet low. Temp: 63 degrees. Clarity: Light stained.

Bass: Tournament director Dennis Hudson reports, “I hope these fish are finally going to start biting in May. It has been very weird. I believe the fish have already spawned, but when they did it, I don’t know. The water temperature has been strange. It got up to 65 degrees when we had that warm snap in February, and it is only 63 now. If things will get back to normal, we’ll be fishing a postspawn pattern in May. The bass like to get on the seawalls and main river points, and a seawall next to a main river point will be covered up with fish. You can skip a Zoom Fluke or a Trick Worm, fish small buzzbaits in the mornings or just fish a Texas-rigged worm and catch plenty of bass in May.”
