Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report May 2015

GON Staff | April 30, 2015

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.5 feet below full pool. Temp: 72-75 degrees. Clarity: Stained.

Bass: Tournament director Dennis Hudson reports, “Topwater fishing is already starting to get good. It will just get better on into May. Hollow-body frogs are already catching some bass, and it will get really good around the bushes, laydowns and seawalls as the bass will be around those guarding fry. The grass will be greening up in May, and the bigger bass will get in that grass. I like to fish a Texas rig in the grass. I love the Bama-bug color, which is junebug on the top and green pumpkin on the bottom.”
