Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – June 2006

GON Staff | May 23, 2006

Level: Full pool. Temp: 71 to 73 degrees. Clarity: Stained in the upper end, clear on the lower end.

Bass:
Very good for numbers of fish. Quality bass are tougher to come by, but are still being caught. At first light try a small topwater plug like a Pop R along the seawalls, private ramps, and between the boat docks. Fish a Trick Worm in the same areas, and don’t wait until the sun gets up so you can sight-fish it. Throw the Trick Worm or a Senko or similar bait early and fish it by feel. During the day either fish a Carolina-rigged worm on main-lake points in 14 to 18 feet of water, or skip a floating worm or light Texas-rig under the docks.
