Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – January 2019

GON Staff | December 23, 2018

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.5 feet below full pool. Temp: 46-49 degrees. Clarity: Stained.

Bass: Tournament director Dennis Hudson reports, “The word is slow—fish everything more slowly. The fish have moved into the creeks and coves with the bait. Your best bet is to fish a squarebill crankbait and medium-diver crankbaits with a slow retrieve. And always pitch a jig around docks and laydowns.” Dennis and his son Mikey won a Nov. 23 tournament with 19-11, and Dennis said there were five bags between 13 and 18 pounds. “The bass were biting that day,” he said.
