Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report January 2017

GON Staff | December 22, 2016

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 4 feet low. Temp: 54 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament promoter Dennis Hudson reports, “The water is still down, and it’s clear as it can be. There’s a lot of crankbait fishing going on. When we get any kind of warm spell, the shallow square-bill crankbaits fished in the coves are doing pretty good. Some bass are also being caught on the main-lake points when there is some moving water. The bass are scattered right now from nothing down to 20 feet. It just depends. The sun and warm temperature makes all the difference. I caught a 4 1/2-  and a 5 1/2-pounder the other day, and the biggest one bit a jig. You just don’t ever know right now.”
