Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – February 2019

GON Staff | January 25, 2019

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 1.8 feet below full pool. Temp: 50 degrees. Clarity: Stained to muddy.

Bass: Tournament director Dennis Hudson reports, “Due to the recent rainfall amounts, bass fishing has been slow, but it is improving. Try crawfish-colored crankbaits, chartreuse spinnerbaits and ChatterBaits, which have been best for bass of late. For some reason the jig bite has been off. Usually this time of year with the stained water, the jig is my go-to bait. Also, jigging spoons on deeper humps have been producing mixed bags of bass, stripes and crappie. The striper bite has been pretty good while bass fishing, too. On a recent trip, Jimbo Peppers and I caught a few, with the best two weighing 18.2 and 12.5 pounds while throwing square-bill crankbaits.”
