Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report February 2016

GON Staff | January 27, 2016

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 2.2 feet below full pool. Temp: 49 degrees. Clarity: The river arm is heavily stained.

Bass: Tournament director and angler Dennis Hudson reports, “Bass fishing hasn’t been very good all winter, but we are hoping things will pick up in February if the lake stabilizes a little. The water temperature has been up and down, and the rains left everything muddy. In February, we usually start picking off some bass around the docks with jigs. And if the water clears some, we’ll start getting bass out of the creeks around the rocks using jerkbaits and small crankbaits. We’ve got some decent weather in mid-January, so we could go fishing, but with the bass not cooperating, we were fishing, not catching.”
