Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report December 2014

GON Staff | November 25, 2014

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.6 feet below full pool. Temp: 55 degrees. Clarity. Light stain.

Bass: Slow. Tournament director and angler Dennis Hudson says the cold nights and dramatic change in water temperature has few anglers fishing, and those who are fishing are struggling for answers. “It’s tough,” he said. “We had a tournament here, and only three boats showed up. It was tough finding a few fish. The bass have moved out over deeper water, and I guess they’re just waiting for everything to calm down. A few bass are being caught with shaky heads on timber in 15 to 18 feet of water. We’re supposed to get another week of colder nights, and I imagine the bass will get on that deeper stuff pretty good. If it warms up some, which I suspect it will eventually, they’ll probably come back up some to structure about 10 to 12 feet deep.”
