Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – August 2020

GON Staff | July 30, 2020

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.3 feet below full pool. Temp: Upper 80s to low 90s. Clarity: Clear in the river; light stain in the creeks.

Bass: Tournament angler Dennis Hudson reports, “Bass fishing has been really tough lately. Five-fish limits are hard to come by now, and just 7 to 9 pounds is winning most local tournaments now. Nothing is working good right now, but a few bass are still biting topwater baits early. Frogs, poppers and small buzzbaits will get a few bites. It’s a little better if you are around mayflies. Small Texas-rigged worms, shaky heads and Ned rigs fished around docks with brushpiles are getting a few bites. Current helps the bite, but they don’t generate much early or on weekends.”
