Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report August 2016

GON Staff | July 28, 2016

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 1.7 feet below full pool. Temp: 86-87 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Dennis Hudson reports, “The bass fishing is very slow even at night. It has been taking 7 to 8 pounds to win a tournament at night here instead of the usual 17 or 18 pounds. You can go out some nights and catch a 2- to 3-pounder, and the next night all you catch is 12-inchers. You can still catch a bass or two during the day on shaky heads in the deep brush, but the bass are almost gone from the grass. The majority of the night fish are coming off of lighted piers with shaky heads. A few are being caught on the rock bluff banks with jigs.”
