Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – April 2019

GON Staff | March 25, 2019

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.7 feet below full pool. Temp: Mid to upper 60s. Clarity: Light stain.

Bass: The bite has been good for smaller spotted bass. April should continue to be good for numbers but with a better chance for quality bites. Lots of bass are in 3 to 5 feet of water and can be tempted with soft and hard jerkbaits. Try a Zoom Super Fluke, Senko or Pointer 78 along docks, seawalls and blowdowns in the pockets. Fish to the backs of the pockets. For bass on the beds, try a jig or creature bait or lizard on a Texas-rig. Also fish the points at mouths of pockets with crankbait, Carolina-rig and split-shot fluke for spawning spotted bass.
