Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report April 2018

GON Staff | March 28, 2018

Bartletts Ferry:: Level: 0.4 low. Temp: 60 degrees. Clarity: Moderate stain.

Bass: Tournament director Dennis Hudson reports, “They’ll be all over the banks in April in all stages of the spawn. You can take a floating worm and go all up and down the banks all day long and catch them. You work that worm pretty fast. Some days you have to pause it and let it drop, and they’ll hit it one the fall. I like a Zoom worm best. Pop-Rs and Whopper Floppers also work pretty good for topwater bass. And you can also catch them on a frog. I caught four on a frog Saturday, but they were all pretty small. The bass here usually like to bed in the corner of seawalls and really shallow in the back half of pockets. When they get on the beds, you need some kind of creature bait or a Senko, and just harass them until they bite.”
