Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – April 2020

GON Staff | March 26, 2020

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.6 feet below full pool. Temp: Mid 60s.

Bass: Tournament angler Dennis Hudson reports, “The rain has finally stopped, so now things should get back to normal. A few bass are already starting to spawn. Pitching jigs and ChatterBaits around docks is producing quite a few fish now. Some bass can still be caught on shallow-running crankbaits in the current eddies, as well. Crawfish colors seem to be best. With the mild weather in the coming days, the spawn should take off. Soft plastic craws, stick worms, Trick Worms and lizards are good bets for the spawners.”

Crappie: Dennis Hudson said, “The crappie don’t appear to be bedding yet, but they should be on the new moon.”
